Departing Picton, this fully guided tour takes you to Essons Valley, where we have exclusive access to show visitors the beautiful surrounds with visual Displays provided by Guardians of the Sounds.
The land is owned by New Zealand’s Marlborough District Council, and we are the ONLY operator that can guide visitors in the area.
A peaceful & beautiful walk . . . .
What to expect
Take a deep breath and relax
This short tour of Essons Valley allows you to see and touch several species of native NZ plants and trees. (including some trees that are over 500 years old)
In the quiet of the bush, you’ll also marvel at the sounds made by local native birds, such as the Tui, Bellbird and Wood Pigeon.
You’ll learn how the bush and the water are spiritually connected, and how Maori used the bush, and how the area regenerates itself.
Information displayed also on native podocarps, small species and also local Native bird species abound. Geology and local history also feature on the displays provided by Guardians of the Sounds.
Award Winning Wine and Mussels
